Good food, Bad Food

Taking in the right nutrients and vegetables plays a dramatic role in your growth. Studies have shown that people who eat the right food and avoid greasy fat foods such as chips, fast food, and any other consumables with high amount of sugar and caffeine, have not met their max height capabilities.

In this very important article, I will show you which food you should avoid, and which food you should eat.

Unhealthy Choices:

Drinks:
Energy drinks, Sodas, and alcohol are a big no-no. Many people do not know this, but Gatorade has high amount of sugar. It is recommended you take while you exercise, but if you just drink daily without exercise, all these ingredients will go directly to fat. One of the world's most consumed substance in the world is Caffeine. Noted as a drug, Caffeine is your nervous system stimulant. Caffeine will trick your body saying your body is not tired. Caffeine increases your blood pressure and heart beat. Much caffeine before bed will disrupt you from getting a good night's sleep. Studies also show that sodas and alcohol interfere with your calcium intake - weakening your bones. Do not over-drink!

Fast Food: Almost all fast food nowadays are known for their high fat, calories, cholesterol, and sodium levels. Eating fast food once or twice won't cause health problems. Eating frequently will later lead to health problems such as Heart Disease, high blood pressure, and weight gain/breathing problems. Such high contents of these ingredients will interrupt the amount of HGH released in your body. Avoid fast food.

Junk Food: Most snacks out there are now filled with sky rocketing sugar levels. Pop-tarts may be a good breakfast, but this things just have too much sugar! Studies have shown that these pastries can withstand 80ยบ F heat for three years and still taste "fresh". AVOID ALL JUNK FOOD!!

Healthy Choices:

Vegetables and Fruit: Vegetables and fruit should be taken in daily. There is no myth in "Vegetables and Fruit are good for you" - It has been PROVEN. Studies have shown that people who consume vegetables daily is likely to have lower cholesterol levels. Vegetables and Fruit are HIGHLY nutritional, and they will help you live longer. Your body counts on you to make right choices. Eat your vegetables!

Whole and Grains and Wheat: Whole Grains include: corn, cornmeal, popcorn, brown and colored rice, oatmeal and whole oats, barley, quinoa, sorghum, spelt and whole rye. Studies are showing that people from Asia and different countries eating rice are healthier than any where else! Not only grain nutritional, it is also healthy - and delicious. In a recent article:

"whole grains can reduce the risk of heart disease by 25 percent to 36 percent, strokes by 37 percent, Type II diabetes by 21 percent to 27 percent, digestive system cancers by 21 percent to 43 percent and hormone-related cancers by 10 percent to 40 percent."

Dairy Food: Dairy products may include: Milk, Cheese, Yogurt, Butter, Ice Cream, and anything that might contain Milk. Dairy products are essentially good as they contain protein and calcium. Calcium is IMPORTANT for your growth to happen. The more calcium available in your body, the higher chance you can grow. That does NOT mean drink 20 glasses of milk a day! 3 cups is widely recommended.

This is NOT a complete list! There are A LOT more healthier and unhealthier food that I haven't listed. Just follow along, and avoid those three major unhealthy food. Eat your veggies, consume your whole grains, and drink your milk. Your body will definitely thank you! In the future, I will write more articles on what to eat, and what to avoid.

Thanks for reading!

Interesting post about food. My cousin has a growth problem and has poor genetics. Protein plays a very important role in growing tall. Meat is a good choice for those looking to grow taller. I did not know all the issues. Thanks
